The "range shift inhibited" can be caused by "Converter Drain-back"-- that is when the vehicle sits for a while, the fluid in the converter drains back into the pan When the "Range Shift Inhibited" state occurred, it threw codes: P0700 (Transmission Control System (MIL Request)) P0843 Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch A Circuit High P0877 Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch D Circuit Low I do not have the data for when it was stored, but will hopefully get it next time it malfunctions.
